What is happiness? Most of us probably don’t believe we need a formal definition of happiness; we know it when we feel it, and we often use the term to describe a range of positive emotions.

It’s wrong if you thing that happiness is about a good job, big house, or other things on your bucket list!

Now you are thinking why it’s wrong? When you focus on the beautiful everyday things, you are training your brains to think positively and directly increase your sense of happiness.

Another important thing is to sleep good. This is evidenced by a study by University of Chicago. An example; It doesn’t help to check your Instagram/Facebook before you sleep.

Deventer city & workshop Chalkpaint


Helle everyone!

Two months ago I did a workshop ‘Chalkpainting’ in Deventer city with my mom. My mom is a creative person and she makes so many different things like jewelleries, knitting and painting furnitures.
First, let’s talk about the product. Annie Sloan created chalk paint to meet the need of finding a paint made specifically for furniture painting, one that could be treated as a wash, and one that could be manipulated by the artist using it. It was designed to create time-worn finishes.

But let me tell you one thing. It is a expensive product. So, my advice is; try it first out on a small table (for example). But one of the selling points of Chalk Paint is that it goes a long way. The instructions always point out that you don’t need to use a primer. And one (or two) coats of paint is enough to cover the piece. If you want to learn some technique, how to make the furniture look like ‘vintage’ then you definitely have to go Atelier droom en daad.
